Long, bright summer days feel wonderful but can make sleeping difficult. Too much light and heat mean you drift off later and wake up more often. Your body produces less sleep hormone (melatonin).
How to Keep Your Sleep Routine on Track
Go to bed around the same time each night (for example, 10:30 PM – 11:30 PM)
Wake up at the same time every morning (6:30 AM – 7:30 AM)
Block out light with heavy curtains
Cool your room with a fan or by opening windows
Use cotton or linen sheets and breathable pajamas; avoid polyester
Put your phone away before you lie down
Mist your pillow with lavender pillow spray
Bonus Tips
Place a cool, damp washcloth or a chilled gel pack on your wrists to lower your core temperature.
Read a light paperback or an e‑book on an e‑ink reader—no harsh screen light to disrupt your rest.
Remember…
Sleep is your secret superpower, even in the summer heat. Can’t turn your mind off? Breathe slowly and give yourself permission to relax. As Amsterdam Professional 0rganizer, we understand how a tidy, cool bedroom can make all the difference.
